Users reported that when they try to install the WBRM and checked the MySQL as Enabled, when they press the Test Connection button, the installer kicks to a "Installation Failure".
We found out that the file of: my.ini had double entries in the
character_set_client=utf8
character_set_client=utf8
character_set_server=utf8
Because of the Double/Repeat lines, the installer (or even the utility - if you skip the MySQL installation and enable it later in the configuration Tab), the connection fails with weired error msg:
Connection faile. String cannot be of zero length.
Parameter name: oldValue
The resolve:
Open the my.ini file and delete the Double entry, keeping just one entry.
